Where do your shade names come from?

Each of our shades are named after a historic brick building from significant locations as a nod to the nostalgia of the brick architecture and character that originally inspired us. To learn more about the buildings the shades are named for, check out the coordinates provided on the product page.

Do your lights come with everything needed to be installed?

Yes. We provide installation instructions with every order. You can also view or download them on our resources page.

All orders are shipped fully insured against loss or damage. Please contact us within seven days so we can start the insurance claim process. We will have the order repaired or replaced for you at no cost as quickly as possible.

Are your lights UL listed?

Yes. There are a few exceptions that are noted in the descriptions.

Do you offer custom glass work?

No. Our exclusive shades are meticulously hand-selected from a collection of antique cast-iron molds over 100 years old. Each shade is individually handblown in the USA by a craftsman using time-honored techniques.

Do you offer custom shade colors?

We can do custom colors on our metal shades. There is typically a small fee for this option so just ask, and we will be happy to give a quote.

Can the pendant lights be made longer?

Yes. We make all of our fixtures to order. Standard lengths are 48″, but we can do any length needed. There is typically a $1.75 per foot for additional length.

How is the glass made?

Our glass is hand-made and mouth-blown. They are made in cast moulds (many are nearly 90 years old) and the size and dimensions will be the same. Inconsistencies occur naturally, sometimes unnoticeably, which makes each piece unique. Air bubbles and swirls are common and characteristic of hand-blown glass-work

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes. If your order is time-sensitive, please ask, and we will be happy to give you additional shipping options and quotes.

Are your lights safe for use in the UK, Europe, and Asia?

Yes. Our fixtures are 120v and 240v rated.

We accept returns within 2-weeks for non-custom, never installed, and in new condition fixtures. A 20 percent restocking fee will be applied. Please contact us first via info@oldebricklighting.com (cancellations required through email only). Orders may be canceled within 48 hours without a fee. Any orders canceled after will incur a 20 percent restock fee whether or not the order has been shipped.

Do you offer trade discounts?

Yes, please complete our Trade Account Application with a description of your business and contact info. We will review the application and be in touch.

How should I maintain and care for my lighting fixture?

All of our fixtures have an applied finish. To dust your fixture, we recommend using a soft cotton fabric, similar to a t-shirt, or furniture dusting tools designed for delicate surfaces. Avoid using chemicals, liquids, or abrasive materials on the fixture's finish. For cleaning glass components, you may use glass cleaner. However, ensure you remove the glass from the fixture before cleaning it, to prevent any chemicals from damaging the fixture's finish.

Warranty Information

What does the 1-year warranty cover?

Our 1-year warranty covers the repair or replacement of the fixture itself. It does not include any peripheral expenses such as contractor or electrician fees. The decision to repair or replace a fixture is at the discretion of Olde Brick Lighting.

Where must approved repair work be carried out?

Any repair work approved under our warranty must be conducted by an Olde Brick Lighting technician either at our workshop or on-site by an authorized representative. Unauthorized repairs or modifications will result in the warranty being voided.

What could void my warranty?

The warranty will be voided if the fixture is incorrectly installed, if our care instructions are not followed, or if any unauthorized repairs or modifications are made to the fixture.
