FAQs
Where do your shade names come from?
Each of our shades are named after a historic brick building from significant locations as a nod to the nostalgia of the brick architecture and character that originally inspired us. To learn more about the buildings the shades are named for, check out the coordinates provided on the product page.

Do your lights come with everything needed to be installed?
Yes. We provide installation instructions with every order. You can also view or download them on our resources page.
What if my order arrives damaged?
All orders are shipped fully insured against loss or damage. Please contact us within seven days so we can start the insurance claim process. We will have the order repaired or replaced for you at no cost as quickly as possible.
Are your lights UL listed?
Yes. There are a few exceptions that are noted in the descriptions.
Do you offer custom glass work?
No. Our exclusive shades are meticulously hand-selected from a collection of antique cast-iron molds over 100 years old. Each shade is individually handblown in the USA by a craftsman using time-honored techniques.
Do you offer custom shade colors?
We can do custom colors on our metal shades. There is typically a small fee for this option so just ask, and we will be happy to give a quote.
How are your brass finishes made?
We use solid brass and each component is carefully hand-finished to order. Since we use solid brass and hand finish, subtle variations are to be expected. If you are looking to purchase multiples of a fixture it would be best to purchase at the same time so all finishing will be completed in the same run.
Can the pendant lights be made longer?
Yes. We make all of our fixtures to order. Standard lengths are 48″, but we can do any length needed. There is typically a $1.75 per foot for additional length.
How is the glass made?
Our glass is hand-made and mouth-blown. They are made in cast moulds (many are nearly 90 years old) and the size and dimensions will be the same. Inconsistencies occur naturally, sometimes unnoticeably, which makes each piece unique. Air bubbles and swirls are common and characteristic of hand-blown glass-work
Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes. If your order is time-sensitive, please ask, and we will be happy to give you additional shipping options and quotes.
Do you offer trade discounts?
Yes, please complete our Trade Account Application with a description of your business and contact info. We will review the application and be in touch.
How should I maintain and care for my lighting fixture?
All of our fixtures have an applied finish. To dust your fixture, we recommend using a soft cotton fabric, similar to a t-shirt, or furniture dusting tools designed for delicate surfaces. Avoid using chemicals, liquids, or abrasive materials on the fixture's finish. For cleaning glass components, you may use glass cleaner. However, ensure you remove the glass from the fixture before cleaning it, to prevent any chemicals from damaging the fixture's finish.

The warranty will be voided if the fixture is incorrectly installed, if our care instructions are not followed, or if any unauthorized repairs or modifications are made to the fixture.
